Altimood offers you to go on a 2 days snowshoeing trip in the Alps and to aim with you the following pedagogical and human objectives :
- Prepare your equipment for a light hike with a bivouac in winter conditions (loan of equipment for testing)
- Learn the basics to succeed in a night in the snow (shelter, igloo, snow hole)
- Manage the risks linked to the cold (frostbite, hypothermia) and your vital needs (eating, drinking, etc.)
- Learn the basics of winter navigation (map reading and orientation) and avalanche risk management (avalanche risk).
- Discover the adaptations of wildlife and other natural wonders for winter.
